Fairchild Books (FB) has been the premier educational publisher of books in fashion since the 1940s, focusing on the categories of textiles; fashion design, including illustration, construction, patternmaking, draping, and grading; and fashion merchandising and marketing from producers and manufacturers to retailers. Titles in related fields cover costume history; social, psychological, cultural and aesthetic aspects of dress; color theory; and retailing, including promotion and visual merchandising. In the late 1990s, our list expanded with a line of interior design texts. CD-ROMs and other electronic resources are an important adjunct to our print offerings.
